Mountain tea - Macedonian tea – improves appetite, fights colds and flu

Mountain Tea (Lat: Sideritis Scardica) also known as Macedonia tea is an annual herb that grows in the high mountains of the Balkan Peninsula. It is known in folk medicine for its healing properties.
The leaves are long topped with crisp, linear veins.
Mountain tea grows in high, dry, rocky (with limestone) areas.
Blooms from June to September when it is collected.
The herb can also be cultivated.
The tea has a distinctive fragrance and flavor and is best for enjoyment.
It is traditionally used to aid digestion, strengthen the immune system and suppress cold, flu and other viruses, allergies and shortness of breath, sinus congestion, even pain and mild anxiety.
