European blueberry (bilberry, wimberry, whortleberry) - Vaccinium myrtillus is a species of shrub with edible fruit of blue color. It is a branched bush, and up to 30 cm high.
The leaves resemble eggshells, and at the top are slightly sharp. The flowers are pinkish white, and the fruits are round berries with a dark color and a crown on the top. European blueberry grows in mountainous places of 1500 meters above sea level. It is found natively in Continental Northern Europe, northern Asia, Greenland, Iceland, Western Canada, and the Western United States.
