There are several types of Ribwort plantain (narrow, medium and broadleaf) and all are very healing.
This plant is a herb that people have used since ancient times. It is found in almost every yard, meadows and forests i.e. it requires no particular conditions to survive. Plantain leaves are broad and oval, therefore it is called “broadleaf”.

Medicinal use of Ribwort plantain

The leaf of the plantain acts against various inflammations of the skin and mucous membrane. It is used for bleeding wounds and is an excellent remedy for the respiratory tract. It has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-bacterial properties.
Tea is used against tuberculosis, asthma, ulcers of stomach and duodenum. The tea is also recommendable for infertility, sexual weakness and an initial phase of diabetes. It is also used for mouth rinsing and periodontal disease.
