Shepherds’s-Purse Plant - Capsella bursa-pastoris
The Shepherd's Purse (Capsella bursa-pastoris) has erected, a poorly branched stem that grows up to 50 cm.
Leaves are feathery arranged and the flowers are white and tiny and form bunches. Shepherd's purse grows everywhere in Macedonia, it is native to eastern Europe and Asia Minor but is naturalized and considered a common weed in many parts of the world.
The Shepherd's Purse can be gathered from the wild or grown. It has many uses, including for food, as supplement animal feed, for cosmetics, and in traditional medicine. This herb should be harvested while young because it is the most healing then.

The Shepherd's Purse is used against muscle diseases, problems with wrists and all types of bleeding i.e. epistaxis, stomach, intestines, hemorrhoidal bleeding, uterine bleeding, prolonged and increased menstrual bleeding.
