Yellow Gentian – Gentiana lutea - Medicinal use of Yellow Gentian

Yellow Gentian (the great yellow gentian, Gentiana lutea) is a perennial herb with strong stem, up to 1.5 m. high.
The leaves are oval and top-pointed and arranged opposite one another. Yellow gentian’s root is very developed; flowers are yellow; it grows at higher altitude, mostly on dry places.

Medicinal use of Yellow Gentian – Gentiana lutea

The root of the yellow gentian is used for improving the appetite and lowering a high temperature. It helps with anorexia and also increases the red blood cells.
The healing properties of this herb are exclusively in the root that is also used for the recovery of the organism and stomach diseases.
