According to the legend, in the past, a cow (cow – крава - "krava") gave birth at the top of the rock, and hence the name of one of the most remarkable locations in Mariovo region - Kravica.
With an altitude of 1160 m, Kravica can be easily seen from most of the localities in Mariovo region. It is located on the Macedonian / Greek border, about 400 meters in Greek territory.
From Macedonian side to the locality of Kravica, leads a narrow mountain road difficult to pass even
with a 4x4 vehicle.

Thanks to the favorable natural conditions, on the Greek side there are several cattle farms, as a contrast to the completely neglected terrain from the Macedonian side.

The location itself was an important strategic place during the First World War, and in the vicinity is the area called Dobro Pole, where on September 15, 1918, the main attack was concentrated during the Breakthrough of the Macedonian Front.
The association OFF ROAD Macedonia (link ...) is one of the few who regularly organize jeep excursions in this part of Macedonia.
